TMC2208 V1.2 Stepper Motor Driver Module

Advanced stepper motor driver with UART function and microPlyer interpolation

• Voltage range: 3.3-5V
• Maximum current: 1.2A per phase (continuous, with cooling), 2A peak per phase
• Works with: 3.3V and 5V signals
• Supports: up to 1/256-step resolution
• Configuration: CFG pins or UART

Top Features:

• StealthChop technology for quieter stepper motors
• SpreadCycl technology for smoother movements
• Built-in security for high temperatures, currents, low voltage, and short circuits
• Comes with heatsink for better cooling

The latest version of the TMC2208 V1.2 eliminates the need for extra wiring by directly using the UART function. With a flexible microPlyer interpolation unit, it can achieve up to 256 microstep/step resolution, ensuring perfect sinusoidal control even in limited pulse rate systems. The component is designed to be compatible with existing 3D printer electronics, saving on redesign costs. It features pulse/direction input and can operate independently. Configuration is done via digital input.
